Legal forms from NC Guide & File for individuals representing themselves in court.
Guide&File is a free online service provided by North Carolina to help individuals
representing themselves in court (pro-se litigants). It works like a guided interview, asking
users simple questions to create the correct court forms. This makes it easier to complete
and prepare legal documents without needing a lawyer. After finishing the questions, users
can print the forms and file them in person at the courthouse, or, if their case qualifies, file the
forms electronically through North Carolina's eCourts system. Guide&File offers several
different forms, including Absolute Divorce, Adult Name Change, Summary Ejectment,
Domestic Violence Protective Order, and Small Claims Complaint.
